Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARJORIE MAY BUDD (nee LONG) Peacefully, Marjorie Budd passed away at Boyne Lodge in Carman on April 10, 2006. She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Leonard in 2004 and her younger sister Phyllis in 1993. She is survived by her eldest son Arthur (Valeria) of Carman; son Douglas (Norine) of Ottawa; grandchildren, Patricia of Calgary, Gerald (Shelly) of Calgary, Jennifer McArthur (Russell) of Dauphin, Christine and Angela both of Ottawa and seven great-grandchildren. Marjorie was born near Rapid City on May 13, 1910. She graduated nursing from Brandon General Hospital and did private duty nursing for several years throughout southwestern Manitoba. She and Leonard were married in Churchill in 1938 and his career moves had the family living in Flin Flon, MB, Venn, Zelma and Milden in Saskatchewan, Hamiota and Winnipeg, MB, before moving to Carman in 1964. Marjorie was active in the community, belonging to the Anglican Church Ladies Auxiliary, the Carman Young Citizens club, and was the curator of the Carman Museum until she was 85. The family wishes to extend its deepest appreciation to the wonderful staff at Boyne Lodge, especially the second floor nursing staff for their kind care given to our mother. Funeral service will be held at Grace St. John's Church in Carman, MB on Saturday, April 15 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kathleen Schmitt officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Carman. Memorial donations may be made to the Boyne Lodge, Box 1644, Carman, MB R0G 0J0 or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200-310 Broadway St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6 or to a charity of one's choice.
